If your pistol is dropping it magazine continually, one of two things is occuring:ġ - You have a faulty magazine catch. ![]() It's not connected to the slide, or the barrel, or the trigger, or the firing pin, or the recoil spring, or it's guide, or the barrel lug, or the moon, any form of Swiss Cheese, or Subway sandwiches. It's called the Magazine Release or Magazine Catch, depending on your choice of semantics. There is a device built into the grip of your pistol that secures the magazine in position.
